PROFILE
VISION-HPN NEPAL:
Our Vision is our goals and objectives.
Goals:
-To help the nation its nation building process.
-To be the leading non profitable organization in the field of social services.
Specific Objectives:
Conduct programs for children and women of backward society as to uplift their standard economically, socially and vocationally. To support and promote women and children education through vocational trainings and Nationwide Scholarship Program as to the increase the literacy rate of Nepal.
-To secure women and children rights. And to fight against child and women exploitation and abuse.
-To conduct awareness program in national level in order to eradicate or lessen the social evils such as poverty, ignorance, environment degradation, sex and drug abuse.
-To arouse cultural / environmental awareness in rural society and to bring a new changes through the various projects.
-To conduct research programs and provide counseling regarding health, forest, environment, management in a national and international level.
-To conduct Cultural Exchange Programs within and outside Nepal for the promotion of bilateral culture and tradition.
-To make linkage and coordination with national and international personalities and organizations as to carryout above mentioned programs.
3. Current programs:
HPN NEPAL is currently engaged in the following programs:
i. Nationwide Scholarship Program : HPN National Scholarship Program (KBNSP)
HPN National Scholarship Fund for Academic Development
HPN Nepal established HPN National Scholarship Fund for Academic Development on Dec., 30th, 2003, as its major activity on the auspicious occasion of 59th Birth Anniversary of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah. Dev at Birendra Int. Convention Hall, New Baneshwor Kathmandu. The Program was inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister for Physical Planning and Works, Population and Environment and General Administrating Buddhi Man Tamang. The scholarship fund comprises of US$ 3000 collected through Mr. Mohan B. Dangi, Kiran K. Dangi and their colleagues from USA. The cheque of $3000 was handed over from Mohan B. Dangi PE -HPN advisor , PHD Scholar of Johns Hopkins University, USA to Honourable Minister Buddiman Tamang accordingly to HPN NEPAL chairman Mr. Kamal P. Bhattarai. This program focuses to help the bright and needy children of rural Nepal providing basic educational resources to them.. HPN has decided to launch the program in Dang and Okhaldunga districts of Nepal at the initial phase consequently to foster into seventy five districts by 2007 AD.
ii. HPN-Child Development Foundation Nepal ( CDFN)
This is a charitable educational trust established to develop, implement, monitor and promote educational programs, which are directed towards the development of personal and social skills of children who are homeless, orphans, flood victims, war insurgency victimized, street children.
Our Mission:
This is a program dedicated to the principle that all children should have the social and material resources to be healthy, educated and productive member of their communities.
iii. HPN- World Village Cultural Exchange (WVCE)
The main aim of this program is to make a linkage with international volunteer who have dedicated their life in social service. Anyone people of any country who is interested in social cum volunteer work, HPN Nepal we-comes through WVCE program and makes a co-ordination of their volunteership in the various fields. This program also offers most reliable, qualitative and most affordable volunteering, trekking, adventure and cross – culture experience in Nepal. Language exchange, culture exchange, sight seen, volunteer meeting, lecturers, trekking, mountain flight and Himalaya experience is also the objective of this program. iv. HPN Women IT Park in Nepal (WIPN) (Information Technology Park):
Name of Project : "Women IT Park in Nepal"
Goal of Project : The overall goal of the project is to enhance motivation to women on information technology.
Project Location : Katmandu
Target Population : Women (Age 15 to 45 years) more than 500 women every year
Methodology : A IT park will be established in Katmandu which is handle by HPN NEPAL (Sahayog Kendra Nepal) a non government organization; to motivate and create awareness and empower about information technology to Nepalese women.
Objective :
to establish a national level- WOMEN IT PARK IN NEPAL.
to provide IT education in free of cost to young women who are poor in IT Education, economically poor, unemployed, and without skill.
Course Details : (Software Training, Hardware Training, Software Development Training, Webpage Designing, E-technologies, Graphics, Networking etc.)
Evaluation : An evaluation workshop will be conducted at the end of the very year. This workshop will help to evaluate the knowledge, attitude and behavior changes and to assess the impact of the project.
4. Future Programs:
a. To widen the Nationwide Scholarship Program.
b. To work against child & women (Child rights, women education, trafficking)
c. To conduct seminars and launches programs on environmental degradation and its influence.
d. To conduct health camp in various districts.
e. To make an efficient networking in international level for culture exchange.
f. To work jointly with local NGOs and INGOs.
