Programs Highlights : Program Conducted

Programs already conducted
The following are the programs conducted by HPN from beginning to till the date.
1997
1. The executive committee members visited Serna VDC of Okhaldhung district and estabilished a women Development Committee to initiate compulsion education to girls. It was on 3rd Dec 1997. 2. Vocational training like knitting and embroidery training at Ratmate VDC of Okhaldhunga district was conducted on 2nd Dec., 1997.
1998
1. HPN and Societal Computer Institution jointly organised a Computer Hardware training to the Secondary Level teachers of Kathmandu valley from 25th March to 14th June, 1998. About 20 teachers were benefited from the program.
2. Valley wide inter school essay competition was held on 28th Sept, 1998. Topic was "Preventive measures for AIDS" 3. The report of girls education initative program at Serna VDC, Okhaldhunga district was collected and deeply studied from 1st Oct to 7th Oct, 1998.
1999
1. Tree plantation program was conducted at Shivapuri Hill Budanilkantha, Kathmandu on the occasion of environmental day, 1999.
2. HPN and Societal Language jointly organised a 3 months English Language program to the teachers of western region of Nepal of government Schools from 2nd Oct to 1st Dec, 1999.
3. Conducted "Work Simplification" one week program from Dec 10th to 17th . The objective of the program was : - To understand the concept and importance of work simplification, to familiarised with the techniques of work flow analysis in relation to the job, to identify the work problem and issues pertaining to work simplification and to learn knowledge, skill and techniques towards introducing work simplification programme in the workspace.
2000
1. Provided scholarship to the students of different districts to study at Societal School (P.) Ltd. New Baneshwor, Kathmandu to initiate Nation Wide Scholarship Program. The scholarship were provided as per the need of the student. About 20 students were provided 100% scholarship and 40 students were provided 50% scholarship.
2. HPN visited different primary level schools of Okhaldhunga district and collected data of the literacy rate of girls in education and distributed educational materials to the girls of various school to encourage them for education, which was conducted from 2nd Aug to 10th Aug.
3. HPN conducted temple cleaning program at Swyambhunath temple of Kathmandu district in joint venture with Societal School (P.) Ltd. On 12th Nov, 2000.
2001
1. HPN conducted awareness program about AIDS and Family Planning on the occasion of World AIDS Day,2001 at V.S. Niketan Higher School, Thapathali, Kathmandu.
2. Conducted 3 months computer software training in joint venture with Societal Computer Institution from 1st June to 30th Sept,2001 to the poor and needy people .
3. HPN conducted a valley wide Inter School Singing and Poetry Recitation Program on 31st Dec,2001 at National Conference Hall, Exhibition Road, Kathmandu in memory of Late King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. The topic for Singing Competition and Poetry Recitation were "Child Rights" (Primary Level) , "Education for Girls" (Secondary Level) and "Late King Birendra and his diverse personality" respectively. About 300 students took part in the program. On the same day, Mr. Basu Dev Koiral "Munal" – co-ordinator of child program Radio Nepal, Mrs. Urmila Pokharel Principal V.S. Niketan Higher Secondary School, Nobel Academy, Societal School (P.) Ltd. were honoured for serving the nation in their respective fields, chief guest being Honourable State Minister for Education & Sports Mr. N.B. Saud.
4. HPN is going to publish an international regular journal named "ACADEMIC FOUNDATION – an international journal of career guidance for academic society" on the 1st Annual Memory of Our Late Royal Family. This is the regular international journal for career guidance. The magazine contains the informative information and highly useful for the school students to university students.
2002:
Revision of all the works, evaluation and progress report
2003
*Establishment of King Birendra Memorial National Scholarship Fund (KBNSP) 2003. Aim to provide scholarship to needy and bright students of the various disctrict of Nepal.
*Awarness Program in Okhaldhunga District
* KBNSP District Committee formation in Dang and Okhaldhunga district
2004
-NSP lunches in the various districts
-Extension of National Scholarship Program
-National Scholarship Program district committee formation
-Child Right, Women Education, Elder Education, Youth Mobilezation and awarness program lunches in the Okhaldhunga district
